Bio: Joseph was a very quiet man and lived a normal life. He was a poor carpenter in the village of Nazareth. The only thing that was really special about him was that he was a descendant of King David but that wasn't even that rare since it had been 1,000 years since David died so his line had expanded to roughly tens of thousands of people but one day it all changed. His soon-to-be wife, Mary, received a vision that she would be the mother of the Messiah. But, since she and Joseph didn't sleep together, it looked like she cheated on Joseph and in that time, that meant she was going to get stoned before the baby was even born. So Joseph was going to quietly divorce her so she and the baby would be spared since, to others, she can freely be with other men if she isn't in a relationship already. That's when Joseph had a dream where an angel of the LORD told him that Mary didn't cheat on him, making him the third person in the New Testament to have an angel talking to him, only after Zechariah and, of course, Mary. So Joseph didn't divorce Mary and raised Jesus making him the legal father. And that shows that if God has a plan for you, you can become one of the most important people in history. This poor man from a village with roughly 20- 40 people with a normal, blue-collar job became the legal and Earthly father of the Messiah, son of God. St. Joseph, Pray for Us!
